FAQ

Our program has been designed to support early childhood in a fun and developmentally appropriate way, while also providing a welcoming space for parents and other caregivers.

There are no “Toddlers n’ Tiaras” or obnoxious music here!

What you will find is a class that:

  • Raises them to crawl, run and jump all while having fun with a variety of music sources from classical and jazz, to pop and international styles.

  • Promotes their fine motor control and eye tracking with the use of fun props.

  • Explores dance movements from classical ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics/gymnastics and contemporary. There is no need to lock your child into one style of dance while they are still exploring the world and their own freedom of movement.

  • Nurtures your baby or child’s innate intelligence and curious nature. We believe in play-led dance classes where your child is the director of their own body. They will not be expected to stand in lines memorising steps.

  • Encourages them to explore their emotions in a supportive environment. From our tiny babies, all the way up to our smarty-pants pre-schoolers, we sing and dance about our emotions and build strategies to help our self-care toolbox.

  • Engages caregivers and provides a community space for them to spend time in a social environment with their child.

  • Whatever you like! We do not have a uniform but recommend you wear clothes you and your child can easily move in. But hey, if that’s an Elsa dress for today, we won’t judge! Messy buns and yoga leggings unite!

We recommend bare feet for the early years to develop babies’ and toddlers’ proprioception with the floor and intrinsic foot muscles. Socks are welcome in winter though we do recommend some with a non-slip base.

And lastly, a baby carrier will come in handy! We offer ergonomic ways to hold your baby but hands-free will help those tired back muscles.

  • It’s always best to bring some water bottles for you and your child. It is helpful to arrive early so that class can then start on time.

Please ensure you have read our Term & Conditions too.

  • We are located at 4/133 Flemington Road Mitchell - right next to Australia Post! You can also easily catch the light rail with your little one - just got off at the Sandford Street Station.

If you are driving in, we recommend parking out the front of the studio on Flemington Road’s slip lane road.
